About me
Christine Edwards QTLS,
Education Strategy &
Professional Learning Consultant
I bring over two decades of experience across the Further Education and Skills sector, spanning roles from Assessor to Operations and Quality Director.
As a Numeracy Specialist, Advanced Learning Coach and QTLS practitioner, I combine operational insight with a deep understanding of curriculum, quality and inspection.
I understand how Ofsted evaluates provision under the renewed framework — not just in theory, but in lived organisational practice.
I work closely with regional bodies, local authorities and provider networks, contributing to place-based skills strategies, inspection readiness and employment-focused reform.
Christine’s background
My purpose is personal.
I left school at 16 with average results. It was only through work-based learning that education began to make sense. Seeing learning applied in real roles transformed both my confidence and my career trajectory.
Later, working within training provision, I saw how fragile confidence in Maths, English and Digital Skills could limit opportunity, and how often systems addressed compliance rather than capability.
That realisation became the catalyst for Creating Excellence in 2017, founded on a simple belief: inclusion is not a policy statement; it is curriculum design, leadership clarity and confident teaching in action.
Creating Excellence exists to help organisations build curriculum that makes sense, leadership that creates consistency and workforce practice that builds confidence rather than fear.
Today, I partner with providers to reduce risk, improve outcomes and strengthen the systems that shape learner experience, ensuring inclusion, progression and employability are embedded, not bolted on.

Please get in touch to discuss the challenges you need to overcome – we can organise a video call to talk through how I can help you.
