| Details | Understanding Higher Education and Skills Reform Higher education and skills provision is experiencing significant policy change. Developments in apprenticeship funding, support for higher-level programmes, the Lifelong Learning Entitlement and Higher Technical Qualifications are reshaping the opportunities and challenges facing providers. The UVAC National Conference explores how universities, colleges, employers and training organisations can respond to this changing landscape. Connecting Policy, Place and Growth National skills reform increasingly connects with regional priorities, devolution and economic growth. The conference considers the relationship between higher-level skills, employer needs and place-based approaches to education and workforce development. It provides opportunities to examine how partnerships and innovation can support more responsive and sustainable provision. Innovation and Organisational Capability Effective reform requires more than changes to funding or qualifications. Providers also need the leadership, workforce capability and curriculum approaches to translate policy into meaningful practice. The conference creates space to explore innovation, delivery challenges and the development of higher technical and professional education. Connecting Sector Insight with Practice Creating Excellence's engagement with national sector conferences supports an informed understanding of policy developments and their implications for providers. The themes connect with consultancy work in apprenticeship quality, curriculum implementation, professional learning and organisational capability. Participation also provides opportunities to strengthen professional relationships and consider how emerging developments influence education and training provision. |
