AELP Safeguarding, Inclusion & Governance Summit

AELP Safeguarding, Inclusion & Governance Summit

Event Date & Time 9 September, 2026 (12:00 AM)
Details Safeguarding, inclusion and governance are increasingly interconnected aspects of organisational quality across Further Education and Skills. The AELP Summit brings together Ofsted representatives, sector leaders and expert practitioners to examine developments shaping these areas and consider what effective implementation looks like in practice. The programme combines keynote presentations, panel discussions and interactive workshops, with a particular focus on organisational culture, learner safety, leadership accountability and inclusive practice. It also provides opportunities to examine examples of effective sector practice and practical approaches that organisations can apply within their own settings. The themes connect directly with wider questions about organisational capability: how effectively policies translate into everyday practice; how leaders know that learners are safe, included and able to participate; and how governance provides appropriate oversight and challenge. Engagement with sector events such as this helps ensure Creating Excellence's consultancy and professional development remain informed by current inspection expectations, emerging sector practice and the changing policy landscape.
