Contextualising Maths and English with AI | Advanced Webinar

Event Date & Time 21 May, 2026 (10:30 AM)
Details Contextualising maths and English with AI is becoming an increasingly important focus as providers look to strengthen learner confidence, relevance and progression within apprenticeship delivery. Many educators leave training inspired by the principles of contextualisation, but translating those principles into everyday planning can remain a challenge. This session focuses on the next stage of practice — moving from understanding to confident, consistent implementation. This interactive webinar builds on the Education and Training Foundation Apprenticeship Workforce Development programme and explores how AI tools can be used as a practical support for curriculum design. Rather than replacing professional judgement, AI is positioned as a thinking partner, helping educators identify naturally occurring maths and English within vocational contexts and generate meaningful learning activities. Drawing on practical work with providers, the session demonstrates how structured prompts and simple approaches can support tutors to design contextualised opportunities quickly and effectively. The focus is on real application — not theory — ensuring that participants leave with ideas they can use immediately. The session also strengthens the link between intent, implementation and impact, supporting organisations to embed maths and English in ways that are coherent, inclusive and aligned to inspection expectations. This connects closely with wider thinking explored in my article on AI readiness in apprenticeships, where organisational capability is positioned as the foundation for effective practice.
